"Mother Dave" began baking fruitcakes in 1968 while he was serving in the U. S. Army. He wanted to give a gift from the heart as well as his hands. He got the nickname "Mother Dave" in college because he liked to cook and it followed him through his twenty-two year career as a Forester. When he met Vicki who also loves to cook they continued to bake the finest pecan fruitcakes by hand. They continue to offer a limited number of these cakes to the public as well as other handmade products. Their Mom n' Pop Tennessee Agri-business also includes The Gardens of Sunshine Hollow as well as plant sales from The Sunshine Hollow Nursery. |
